2. Suction/discharge valve failure: Sticking valve cores, failed springs, or scale buildup on valve seats can cause unstable flow or pressure fluctuations. Media filtration should be enhanced to prevent impurities from entering the pump chamber, periodic cleaning and maintenance schedules should be established, and valve assemblies should be replaced when necessary.
3. Overheating due to poor lubrication: Blocked lubrication systems, degraded oil, or low oil levels can increase friction in moving parts and cause abnormal temperature rise. Ensure lubricating oil is clean and sufficient, test oil quality regularly, and replenish or replace oil in a timely manner.
4. Cavitation: Excessive suction line resistance, low liquid levels, or high gas content in the media may cause cavitation, which can damage the pump body and reduce efficiency. The suction line design should be optimized to ensure adequate net positive suction head, and venting devices should be installed in the system.
5. Abnormal vibration and noise: Loose foundations, misaligned couplings, or unbalanced rotors can cause severe vibration. Regular alignment calibration, tightening of foundation bolts, and vibration monitoring should be carried out to identify potential mechanical faults early.
